It is currently 68 degrees here!!! I cant believe it...feels just like an awesome spring day in Nebraska...even windy...the only thing missing is the smell of freshly cut grass and freshly chopped cow.
This weekend was pretty uneventful...since last weekend was to eventful, we decided to lay low. Friday we had an excersion to the Basque country...we went to Guernica. Went to some museums and historical stuff and also ate lunch there. For those of you who dont know, Guernica is famous because of the bombing they had in 1937. Hitler needed a place to test his bombs and so he talked to Franco, the Spanish ruler at the time, and Franco allowed him to use the Basque country area. Hitler decided to choose a Monday to do this which happened to be Guernica´s market day, the whole town was detroyed and many civilians died. After Guernica we went to another small town by the sea...it was absolutely gorgeous, except for the fact that is was raining and SUPER windy of course...so we were all enjoying the ocean until about everyones umbrellas started to flip inside out. fun day :).
After returning home and eating supper, Michaela, Joy, and I went to Ish´s house in Algorta (suburb to Bilbao) to plan our Egypt trip...where exactly we wanted to go and what we wanted to do in each place....The three of them did a great job of doing this...I tried researching, but then my mom got online and I was able to skype with her, and Lexi, for the first time since I have been here. It was great!!! Lexi even waved at me...what a talented dog she is. Anyway...we did get some planning done, and we are very excited...only 32 more days until heat and sun for 16 days!!!
Saturday we honestly did about nothing, the only exciting thing that happened was that I bought a new camera...yay....and I will say now, that this is officially the last camera i will buy in Spain....ever. I got the same one as I did before. It will last me a long time, I promise Mom.
Sunday was a sleep day...glorious.
And now today is Monday, it is beautiful outside...well until it starts to rain I suppose. I have a test Thursday, so have been studying for that. I hope it goes as well as the last. Not much more to say....
82 more days in Spain, I cant believe it....
Hugs and Kisses
