It's not goodbye, It's see ya later!

It is 5:00 AM and I am headed to bed for a quick nap. We are planning on leaving no later than 8 AM so my alarm is set for 6:30 AM....oh goodness. Fitting 5 months into a couple suitcases is a little harder than I had originally thought, but thanks to my friends I have cut down on some jewelery, shoes, and a few clothing items :). Joy and I will fly out of Lincoln at 2:38 PM and will make stops in Chicago and Frankfurt before finally arriving in Bilbao, Espana. Thanks for the prayers and the good lucks, they will be greatly needed. I will miss you all..and until next time ADIOS!

  4. Well since the only Spanish words I know, are connected to food...like taco, burrito, frito lay...I'd say put on the charm with the house mom. Learn how to say a blessing to her...like "God be with you" (where is Liz when I need her)I bet by the end of the stay she will be cryin, cuz she's gonna miss you...at least that's how I feel when we say goodbye after we have been trippin together. Every experience you have had in your life thus far has been preparing you for this...you'll do great! Gee weez, what happened to my little shy cutie pie, that would only peek around the door at me...that seems only a few years ago. They say the men over there are really hot...don't go gettin engaged or something crazy like that. Love you a bunch...Lonna

  6. Mel, Wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you tonight and the mission trip you took to Haiti with your dad and PC. I am sure that your heart is very sad for the people and especially the children. Hope your days are getting better as the time change catches up with you. Know how much you are loved....and God willing maybe we can all journey back to Haiti to serve some day. Remember the same sun and moon shines over all the earth... God's love is amazing.........Lonna
